Introduction to Hoodia
Hoodia is a plant type which is found in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. Their appearance is very much similar to the cactus plant, but in reality they are not cacti but succulents.
Hoodia is a natural appetite suppressant.
For centuries, Bushman belonging to the San tribe of the Kalahari Desert have been using it to put off hunger during their long trips across the desert. This tribe belongs to a 27,000 year old culture with a history known for using native plants for medicinal purposes. There are a number of species belonging to the Hoodia plant type and Hoodia Gordonii is one such species. It is this species that is most valued because it is the only species of the Hoodia plant type with appetite suppressant abilities.
It works by reducing your interest in taking food. This is due to the active ingredient within Hoodia Gordonii, which is the molecule P57. P57 has the ability to imitate the effect of glucose on your brain and informs it that you are full. When you start taking Hoodia, you will find that the time tap between meals, after which you start to feel hungry again, is delayed. Though there is this delay, you still have a feeling of well-being. After each meal, you will feel full quickly and so won’t overeat during meals.
Hoodia Gordonii has been tested and has so far, it has not shown any side effects. It can be used safely by most people and will enable them to naturally loose weight in order to achieve their ideal weight and maintain good health.
